What would you do as our Operations Control Manager?
You will be responsible for planning, coordinating and scheduling production activities to ensure efficient workflow and timely delivery of products. This role involves close collaboration with production, purchasing, inventory, and logistics teams to optimize resource utilization and meet customer demands.
You would also:
- Develop and maintain detailed production schedules based on customer orders, inventory levels, and production capacity.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams (operations, purchasing, logistics, customer service and quality) to ensure materials and resources are available.
- Monitor production progress and adjust schedules to address delays, shortages, or changes in demand.
- Analyze production data to identify bottlenecks and recommend process improvements.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards throughout the production process.
- Communicate schedule updates and potential issues to stakeholders and management.
- Utilize ERP/MRP systems to manage scheduling, inventory, and production data.
- Prepare and distribute daily, weekly, and monthly operations reports.
- Coordinate and lead campus leadership S&OP bi-weekly meetings.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives in production planning and control.
- Continually promote a safe and harmonious working environment, demonstrating strict adherence to the ASSA ABLOY Code of Conduct and ASSA ABLOY Health & Safety Policy
The Skills and Experience you need:
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or related field preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in production scheduling or manufacturing operations.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (JDE) and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Certification in APICS CPIM or CSCP is a plus.
- Experience in lean manufacturing or Six Sigma environments.
- Familiarity with capacity planning and inventory control principles.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
