Curries (an ASSA ABLOY company) is expanding our Order Processing Team. This role will be based out of our manufacturing facility located in Mason City, Iowa.

What would you do as our Order Processing Manager?

You will be responsible for managing one or more order processing teams which configure engineered to order product, ensuring customer satisfaction, quality and productivity meet or exceed company objectives. These teams managed may be any combination of internal or 3rd party employees, located together on premised, or geographically dispersed.

 

You would also:

  • Participate in capacity planning, while leading staffing & training of a qualified work force
  • Build a respectful, professional culture which rewards team and individual success
  • Clearly communicate team and individual goals and objectives
  • Conduct team and individual meetings, communicating openly and transparently, ensuring employees are well informed
  • Develop and maintain departmental work procedures & schedules
  • Monitor department KPI’s to ensure required standards of order processing Quality and Productivity are maintained
  • Maintain employee performance records, including NCR approvals, and individual scorecards
  • Develop system & process enhancements or changes, which will improve the team’s quality and productivity performance to meet or exceed company objectives
  • Coordinate vacation schedules with regard for maintaining required performance
  • Complete performance evaluations for direct reports per company policy, and execute resulting developmental plans
  • Represent order processing in issue-resolution sessions with other departments
  • Partner with leaders and teams to enhance working relations with other departments, possibly across multiple sites
  • Help investigate, maintain and implement best practices across the Door Group as it relates to order processing of engineered to order product
  • Actively participate in providing a safe and harmonious working environment for all employees
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, local and corporate governance policies, regulations, and laws, AADG programs and policies and the ASSA ABLOY Code of Conduct

 

What we are looking for:

  • High School Diploma or GED / Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Information Systems or a related field, preferred
  • Minimum 7 years of progressive experience managing, leading and developing teams in a business environment. At least 5 years of progressive experience in an order fulfillment discipline preferred.
  • Willingness to work in a fast paced, exciting, and sometimes stressful environment.
  • Ability to complete assignments with a sense of urgency and interact extensively with both internal and external customers.
  • Approachable and patient listener with excellent communication skills. Ability to explain technical concepts to lay audiences and experience working with board stakeholders, including external customers.
  • Effective and efficient team leadership, practicing servant leadership and blameless problem solving.
  • Self- starter with the ability to prioritize and plan complex work in a rapidly changing environment
  • Ability to embrace personal accountability for the team’s quality of work while achieving both personal and departmental objectives
  • Results oriented with a practical approach to maximize order fulfillment rate
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Experience in metal forming or related field preferred.
  • General understanding of commercial construction would be a plus
  • Ability to travel occasionally using all methods of transportation
  • Must live or be willing to relocate within the local area of Mason City, IA
