Maintenance Technician

Curries is adding a Maintenance Technician to our 2nd Shift to support day-to-day maintenance activities within our manufacturing operation located in Mason City, Iowa. This role plays a critical part in ensuring equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, and supporting safe, efficient production.

What would you do as our Maintenance Technician (2nd Shift)?
You’ll perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on production and facility equipment. You’ll troubleshoot complex systems, document completed work and provide feedback to improve maintenance strategies and equipment performance.
You would also:
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- Troubleshoot and repair production equipment, including conveyors, presses, roll formers, welders, robots, and related systems
- Diagnose equipment issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to reduce unplanned downtime
- Complete advanced and routine PMs in accordance with established procedures
- Accurately document work performed, parts used, and equipment status in the maintenance management system
- Provide input and recommendations to improve maintenance plans, reliability, and safety
- Support maintenance projects, equipment upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Assist and provide guidance to other technicians as needed
- Follow all safety policies, including lockout/tagout and environmental, health, and safety requirements
- Work independently on off-shifts as required
- Special assignments and other duties as assigned
- Maintain adherence to all corporate Environmental Health and Safety Policies and Procedures
The Skills and Experience You Need:
- High School Diploma or GED required; technical degree or certification in Industrial Maintenance or a related field preferred
- Hands-on maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Strong troubleshooting ability across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- Demonstrated experience completing preventive maintenance activities independently
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, manuals, and technical documentation
- Root cause analysis and corrective action experience
- Comfortable working independently and supporting less experienced technicians
- Willingness to obtain or maintain required certifications (forklift, aerial lift, safety training)
- Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, or off-shift hours as needed
