Curries, an ASSA ABLOY branded company is looking to add an EHS Manager to the team! This is an on-site leadership position located at our manufacturing facility in Mason City, Iowa.

What would you do as our EHS Manager?

You will play a critical role in shaping and sustaining a culture of safety excellence. You’ll lead strategic safety initiatives, ensure regulatory compliance, drive incident prevention, and develop the people, processes, and systems that keep our teams safe.

 

You would also:

  • Champion a proactive safety culture by developing and executing forward-thinking strategies that go beyond compliance
  • Partner with managers and employees across all shifts to foster collaboration, communication, and shared ownership of safety
  • Lead incident investigations, identify root causes, ensure timely corrective actions, and exercise the authority to stop unsafe work when necessary
  • Maintain comprehensive and compliant safety records and deliver monthly reports that highlight key trends, performance metrics, and opportunities for improvement
  • Review and update safety programs annually while staying current on emerging legislation, communicating changes to management, and implementing necessary updates to remain compliant
  • Deliver mandatory EHS training and engaging safety programs for new hires and current employees while mentoring, developing, and managing members of the safety team
  • Conduct industrial hygiene and noise surveys, EHS inspections, and self-assessments, recommending creative solutions to reduce risk and ensure compliance with AADG, global EHS, and regulatory standards
  • Review capital projects, process changes, and raw materials for environmental requirements
  • Track monthly sustainability indicators and provide quarterly reporting to management
  • Ensure compliance with federal/state regulations, AADG policies, and the ASSA ABLOY Code of Conduct
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned

 

The Skills and Experience you need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in EHS, Occupational Health, Engineering, or related field (preferred)
  • 5+ years of safety leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
  • 3–5 years of team management experience
  • Strong knowledge of State and Federal safety regulations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Ability to work across all shifts to support business needs
