Curries (an ASSA ABLOY company) is expanding our Operations Management Team. This role will be based on-site out of our manufacturing facility located in Mason City, Iowa.

 

What would you do as our Production Manager - 2nd Shift?

You will play a pivotal role in managing our manufacturing processes, ensuring smooth operations, and maintaining our high standards of quality and safety. You will lead, develop, and train a team, coordinate production schedules, and implement strategies to optimize productivity and efficiency.

 

You would also:

  • Oversee day-to-day manufacturing operations to ensure efficiency, quality, and safety standards are met.
  • Develop and implement production schedules, ensuring timely delivery of products to meet customer demand.
  • Lead and mentor production staff, fostering a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Implement lean manufacturing principles and process optimization techniques to maximize productivity and minimize waste.
  • Drive participation in the CHIP Program (CURRIES Hazard Identification Program), PEER Program, and GEMBA communication boards in all departments.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, quality control, and maintenance, to resolve production issues and drive process improvements.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and production metrics, analyzing data to identify areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Drive initiatives to enhance employee training and development, ensuring a skilled and motivated workforce.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as required.
  • Actively participate in providing a safe and harmonious working environment for all employees.
  • Comply and enforce compliance of all state and federal regulations, Company standards and the ASSA ABLOY Code of Conduct.

 

The Skills and Experience you need:

High School degree required.

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing / production environment with a minimum of 5 years of experience managing and accomplishing goals through your team.
  • Previous experience in the door, hardware, architectural, building products or a related industry is highly desired.
  • Demonstrated track record of implementing LEAN manufacturing methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and time management skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize projects under tight time deadlines.
