What would you do as our Group Information Security Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Group Information Security Specialist to join our dynamic team at ASSA ABLOY Group. In this role, you’ll help protect our systems, data, and networks by identifying, analyzing, and mitigating security risks across the organization.

You will work closely with IT, risk management, and compliance teams, driving continuous improvements in security risk management, compliance, and assurance activities. Your focus will include risk assessments, policy development, threat analysis, regulatory compliance, and supplier security due diligence — all aimed at strengthening our global security posture.

You will report to the Group Information Security Risk & Compliance Manager.

 

You would also be responsible for:

  • Maintaining the Information Security Management System risk register and performing periodic risk analyses / assessments with relevant stakeholders
  • Analysis of the findings from assessments and audits, identification of overlaps/duplications and monitoring control compliance
  • Security Policy & Standards: Assist in the development, implementation, and enforcement of information security policies, standards, and good practices
  • Perform monthly Information Security status meetings and quarterly meetings with managers and Group functions
  • Perform Supplier Security Due diligence as part of internal Supplier Management and procurement processes

 

The skills and experience you need

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
  • 2–5 years in information security or a related field, ideally within a global or enterprise environment; experience with Microsoft security applications is an advantage.
  • ISO 27001 Auditor/Lead Implementer, CISM, CISA, CRISC, CISSP, or similar certifications are considered a plus.
  • Fluent in English (critical); Swedish or additional languages are an advantage.
  • Proficient with Microsoft 365 suite and ServiceNow platform

 

The ideal candidate is a proactive and detail-oriented individual with excellent communication skills, able to convey complex security concepts to non-technical staff. They possess strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical abilities, enabling them to approach challenges logically and effectively. Additionally, the ideal candidate can work both independently and as part of a collaborative team, adapting to various work dynamics while maintaining focus on achieving security goals
