Your Opportunity:

Become a valuable member of our highly technical Sales Engineering team making a genuine, positive impact in the lives of our customers.  Architect and specify Traka Technology solutions for our wide variety of customers including hardware, software, and integrated applications. 

This is a predominantly customer interfacing role and always requires the highest level of customer service.

The role will perform responsibilities in accordance with all company standards, policies, and procedures.

Functional Competencies:

  • Assist the regional sales teams with presales support to value-engineer technology-based solutions that solve real world problems, improve accountability and drive process across a wide range of industries from manufacturing to hospitality and from small business to global enterprise.

 

  • Conduct detailed technical requirements analysis and specification of IP based key & equipment management solutions.

 

  • Manage complex RFP’s and compile detailed technical responses that demonstrate why Traka is the global leader in key & equipment management.

 

  • Deliver webinar and in-person technical presentations and demonstrations to prospects and customers – including all hardware, enterprise administration software and access control integration components.

 

  • Complete the deployment and maintenance of Traka solutions within customer and end user environments.

 

  • Execute Deployment Planning & Design sessions for enterprise end users and create technical plans and documentation for the successful implementation of Traka solutions.

 

  • Conduct Technical Certification Training and support to Certified Partners.

 

  • Provide technical guidance and knowledge at major trade shows.
     
  • Collaborate with marketing on producing sales support video’s, media, and documentation.

 

  • Calculate pricing for small projects (maintenance and service works) including hardware, software, and professional services components.
     
  • Maintain accurate account, opportunity and project data in CRM and project management software.
     
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
     
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager from time to time.
     
  • Travel required (up to 50%) within designated region (Australia).

 

 

 

 

Essential skills:
 

  • Fanatical about providing outstanding service to customers and colleagues.
     
  • Experience in technical sales and solution engineering within the security industry or similar.

 

  • Certifications in IT/Networking or Engineering fields.

 

  • Demonstratable advanced technician level knowledge of hardware electronics and embedded systems

 

  • Demonstratable advanced technician level knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server databases and web (browser) based software applications including installation and maintenance

 

  • Demonstratable advanced technician level knowledge of TCP/IP networking

 

  • Proficient in the use of power and hand tools.

 

  • A practical understanding of binary and hexadecimal number systems
     
  • Highly detail oriented, analytical and a data driven approach to solving problems through technology.

 

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate at different levels within an organization and train end users on technical products, software, and integrated applications.
     
  • Team player who loves working with people including colleagues, partners, and customers.
     
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
     
  • Self-motivated and ability to work on own initiative.
     
  • Highly organized and ability to prioritize workloads and tasks.
     
  • Flexibility and adaptability in tackling new projects and tasks.
     
  • Must be comfortable working in a highly dynamic environment and able to multi-task.
     
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

 

 

Desirable skills:

  • Experience with enterprise access control systems and integrations
     
  • Knowledge of security technologies such as card readers and common protocols including Wiegand and OSDP
     
  • A basic knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server scripting
  • Cyber security certifications and practical knowledge

Physical Requirements

  • Normal, corrective vision range; ability to see color and to distinguish letters, numbers, and symbols.
  • Ability to work with graphic display units, touchscreens, etc.
  • Ability to lift, roll and carry demo equipment up to 25 kg during travels – plane, vehicle, etc and during deployment of Traka solutions on customer sites.
