About The Role

We currently have an opportunity for a Financial Accountant to join our team based in Seaview, Lower Hutt. This role works closely with the Finance Manager to assist with the financial integration and ongoing financial management of the growing door group in New Zealand. 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Active role in the financial integration of the Door group entities
  • Assist finance with month-end close, and reporting
  • Preparation, analysis, and distribution of internal financial & management reports
  • HFM (AA global financial) reporting
  • Assist with the preparation of company income tax returns, FBT, payroll tax etc
  • Participate in the budgeting process and quarterly forecasts
  • Balance sheet & GL account reconciliations.
  • Assist with internal audits & financial year-end audits
  • Assist with AR & AP when necessary


About You

The ideal candidate will be results-oriented with a hands-on approach and a sense of responsibility and ownership. You will be a strong team player and excellent communicator both verbally and written, who proudly boasts accuracy and exceptional attention to detail as a strength. 

Key competencies include:

  • CA or CPA qualified (or working towards qualification)
  • Preferable three years of relevant work experience
  • Familiarity with international accounting standards
  • Excellent organisational ability and strong planning skills
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Great positive attitude and ambition to succeed
  • Strong analytical & numerical skills
  • Ability to manage pressure well and able to meet deadlines
  • Competent with MS Office suite of programs
