SUMMARY:  

 

The Project Manager is a highly motivated individual who can lead and manage complex projects across functional teams to deliver successful outcomes. This is an individual who can partner and collaborate with Sales, Pre-Install, Order Management, Supply Chain, Customer Support, and other departments.  The Project Manager is responsible for delivering complex projects on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of stakeholders; responsible for planning, controlling all phases of project management, executing, and finalizing projects according to strict deadlines and budget constraints. The Project Manager is a problem-solver, a driver, a proactive leader who is adaptable, organized, and can prioritize tasks accordingly in an ever-changing environment.  

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES  

 

  • Utilize team-building, communication, planning, and organizational skills to effectively manage client satisfaction and expectations during the prompt installation of the Parking Access Revenue Control System, ensuring adherence to budget and following the PMBOK project management methodology 

  • Establish and maintain effective communication and coordination channels with customers, as well as various internal departments such as Service, Installation, Software Development, and 3rd-party vendors, to manage project dependencies and ensure seamless product delivery 

  • Prepare and deliver clear and concise status reports, highlighting critical path aspects of the project, tailored to different audiences ranging from individual team members to executive management 

  • Develop and manage realistic and achievable project schedules, considering deadlines, dependencies, resources, and costs, while adapting to a fast-paced and dynamic environment 

  • Monitor and drive the resolution of all project issues, tackling them promptly and effectively 

  • Demonstrate effective communication skills with customers at all levels, consistently updating them on open issues, current and future initiatives, and addressing any concerns promptly and professionally. 

  • Other duties, as assigned.  

 

QUALIFICATIONS  

 

This is an experienced level position within the Project Management Office (PMO). To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the essential duties and responsibilities as listed above, in addition to possessing the following qualifications and requirements. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required: 

 

 

  • Business experience and a proven track record of 2 years in Project Management 

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. Proficiency in using Microsoft Project and/or other project management tools, with at least 2 years of experience 

  • Strong negotiation and communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with stakeholders 

  • Experience in configuration management, change management, and test planning, ensuring smooth project execution 

  • Ability to quickly learn and understand Access Control System applications and implementation requirements, serving as a valuable implementation resource and eventually leading implementations 

  • Demonstrated experience in writing scopes of work for construction sub-contractors, ensuring clear project deliverables and expectations 

  • Proven ability to build strong and relationships with customers at all levels, from executives to end-users 

  • Expertise in driving projects from start to finish, including creating realistic schedules, setting appropriate customer expectations, proactively identifying and managing risks, and adapting to changing priorities 

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple (10 to 20) highly complex projects simultaneously, with both local and remote teams and external partners 

  • Previous on-site implementation experience for software/hardware in customer environments such as Parking, Access Control, AVI, RFID, and CCTV.  

  • Proficiency in using scheduling, productivity, and communication tools to enhance project management efficiency. 
     

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE  

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree 

 

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: 

  

  • Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred 

  • Valid Driver's License, in state of residence.  

 
LANGUAGES AND TRAVEL: 

 

  • Fluent English essential, other languages (e.g. Spanish/German) a plus 

  • Domestic travel to sites (less than 25%)
