What you will do…
Working Hours
40-hour week. Overtime expected + 1st hour travel
Location: South-East region including London, United Kingdom
- Prepare for Jobs: Read site plans, drawings, and project minutes to get ready for tasks.
- Problem Solving: Use a logical approach to find and fix system faults.
- Maintenance: Carry out routine maintenance services as needed.
- Health and Safety: Follow all safety requirements to ensure a safe work environment.
- Customer Communication: Communicate with customers to gather relevant information and keep them updated on job progress.
- Testing and Training: Test systems upon completion and train customers on how to use them, providing manuals when available.
- 24/7 Support: Be part of a call-out roster to provide engineering support 24/7 to specified sites.
- Meetings: Attend meetings with external site teams and within the company as required.
- Paperwork: Complete all necessary paperwork, including time sheets and expenses, to specified standards and submit them on time.
- Team Support: Keep the office team informed of job progress and provide technical support when needed. Support colleagues by offering assistance and training.
- Continuous Learning: Keep technical knowledge up to date through ongoing learning and development.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Take care of the company vehicle according to specified standards.
- Flexibility: Be willing to perform any other duties as assigned on an as-needed basis.
What we expect of you…
- Minimum 3 years' experience with CCTV or Access Control systems.
- Possession of a valid driving license.
- System Installation: Ability to plan, install, and configure CCTV cameras, access control panels, and door entry systems according to manufacturer specifications and industry standards.
- System Integration: Understanding the principles of integrating security systems into a unified networked environment, with the ability to assist in basic integration tasks under supervision.
- Diagnostic Skills: Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with CCTV cameras, access control readers, door entry intercoms, and related hardware and software components.
- Network Configuration: Set up IP-based security systems, configure network settings, and ensure proper communication between devices and servers.
- Software Proficiency: Familiarity with software applications used for configuring, managing, and monitoring CCTV, access control, and door entry systems, with the capacity to learn and operate these tools under supervision
- Hardware Expertise: Understand the functionality and operation of security hardware components commonly used in installations.
- Compliance with Standards: Follow relevant industry standards and regulations governing security system installation and operation.
- Remote Monitoring and Support: Set up remote monitoring solutions and provide remote technical support to clients.
- Security Protocols: Ensure the security of transmitted and stored data by following encryption methods and user authentication mechanisms.
- Documentation and Reporting: Create comprehensive installation documentation to ensure compliance with standards and facilitate future maintenance and upgrades.

- Exposed to risk of electrical shock.
- Exposed to moving mechanical parts, high, precarious places.
- Exposed to outside weather conditions, wet, extreme cold and heat.
- The surrounding noise level may be high.
- On occasion the employee will work within an office environment.
- May be required to work away from home in the UK or overseas.
