What you would do as our Manufacturing Engineer 

 

We are looking for an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to be responsible for delivering operational process improvements, eliminating waste in the production process and implementing innovative systems to improve efficiency, reduce cost, improve sustainability and maximize profitability

 

You would also:
• Create, configure and develop operational processes.
• Analyse workflows within and across departments to determine how the entire company can work better together.
• Review the KPI monitoring systems and determine ways to improve their ability to maintain company operations.
• Develop and perform experimental process tests with respect to quality, method, cost, etc.
• Keep time and budget limitations in check.
• Work in conjunction with all on-site departments internal and external customers to support new products and new manufacturing technology platforms in operations.
• Identify and propose a business case for reinvestment opportunities to improve production output and reduce cost, and/or reduce manual handling or risk of injury for factory operatives
• Develop business processes in operations areas that provide enhanced capability to capacity plan and track progress of all schedules work.
• Work within Microsoft AX to enhance operations routings and timings.
• Ensure Operations Excellence assessment is deployed and developed.
• Factory layout’s, optimisation of plant and equipment and improve throughput on all production activities.
• Improve OEE on key plant and equipment to deliver improved CM
• Prepare, manage and implement CAPEX and OPEX proposals for investment in new plant, equipment and automation to deliver improved profitability, QHS&E improvements and VA/VE initiatives

The skills and experience you need 

 

We are looking for someone who:
• Experience of project management in a manufacturing capacity
• Proven experience of improving productivity in a professional environment
• Hands on experience with engineering MRP/ERP systems.
• Knowledge of process related standards
• CAD or AutoCad skills
• Must be comfortable with integrating new technology into an existing business environment
• Excellent communication skills
• Be able to influence others
• Must have energy, enthusiasm and commitment
• An excellent team player but able to work successfully as an individual
• Be able to work under pressure, prioritising to meet deadlines
