Facilities Specialist

     

 

As a Facilities Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth functioning of our manufacturing and facilities by performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, and executing repairs with precision. Your expertise will help maintain a safe, efficient, and reliable environment where quality and safety are top priorities. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily:

  • Perform repairs and maintenance on metal fabricating machines. Press brake, laser cutter, waterjet, Pemsetter, tube polishers.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with equipment to determine necessary repairs
  • Use precision measuring instruments to ensure accurate repairs and adjustments.
  • Fabricate and modify parts as needed to complete repairs.
  • Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and diagrams to guide repair work.
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues and prevent breakdowns.
  • Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Strong computer skills. Various test tools, including command line tools, are regularly updated including internally created tools.
  • The ability to install and use such tools will be an essential function to support testing of prototypes and some production lines.

QUALIFICATIONS

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required for this position. 

 

Education and/or Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Repair Technician or in a similar role
  • Strong knowledge of industrial maintenance and repair techniques.
  • Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments
  • Familiarity with electrical systems, including industrial electrician skills.
  • Experience with troubleshooting electrical circuits.
  • Ability to analyze problems and develop effective solutions.
  • Excellent attention to detail and manual dexterity.

 

Computer Skills

  • Proficiency using EDA tools to read schematics for PCBA troubleshooting/repair
  • Proficiency in MS Office

 

Other Skills

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong experience in electronic instrumentation and testing tools.  
  • Strong experience in defining validation and test planning documents. 

 

Quality Commitment

  • Assist the organization with establishing practices that align with ISO requirements.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this position. The noise level in the work and shop environment is moderate to loud. While performing the duties of this position the employee may occasionally be required to work near fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals.  The employee may also be required to work near moving mechanical parts.
