Business Development Manager (H/F)

What you would do as our Business Development Manager:
Reporting to the Sales Manager, the Business Development Manager will be responsible to spearhead our expansion efforts in France, focusing on the indirect market segment. This role requires a dynamic professional with expertise in managing distribution networks, fostering partnerships, and executing comprehensive business development strategies to drive sales growth through indirect channels in the French market. A major prospecting campaign will be needed to appoint new dealers and establish a network of loyal, successful dealers.
You would also:
- Translate the sales strategy in different tactics for France, together with the Sales Manager focusing on distributors, dealers, and contractors to aggressively penetrate the market.
- Be responsible for the existing dealers in your region with whom you maintain and further develop the relations; in addition, a key priority is to visit and appoint new dealers to increase market coverage.
- Support your customers through individual consulting, training and personal support when appropriate (eg. trade shows, lead generation, end-customers visits and large deal project follow-up).
- Monitor closely the results and sales figures in your region, and, based on quotes pipelines, provide the management with regional forecasts on regular basis.
- Provide global market intelligence and competitor activity to the management.
The skills and experience you need:
We are looking for someone who:
- Proven experience in the development of a distribution network in a B2B environment.
- Speaks French and English fluently. Knowledge of any other language could be a plus.
- Has experience in technical product selling, especially in construction or building materials industry within a B2B market.
- Has the ability to communicate with people from different levels, both internally and externally, with excellent listening, coaching and presentation skills.
- Is autonomous and flexible, and can plan their days and weeks efficiently. You are home-based and prepared to travel up to 50% of your time.
