Continuous Improvement Leader
Essential Functions:
- Be the Lean 5S Champion for the facility.
- Lead Lean cultural shift to achieve continuous improvement strategy goals and objectives.
- Be the Subject Matter Expert (SME) on Lean tools and techniques for the training department and management staff.
- Utilize cross functional teams to understand all aspects of internal capabilities and opportunities.
- Direct and supervise the activities of the 5S Technicians and Training Team.
- Provide one-to-one coaching and consulting to PIT Leaders.
- Apply tools and perform statistical analyses for PIT projects using tools and statistical methods shall include: Pareto, Control Chart, Histograms, Check Sheets, Cause and Effect Analysis, Failure Modes and Effects Analysis, knowledge of distributions, probabilities, range, standard deviation, correlation analysis, Design of Experiments, Statistical Process Control, measurement systems, etc.
- Time studies.
- Value stream mapping.
- Develop corrective action procedures.
- Training will report to the Continuous Improvement Manager
Qualifications and Requirements:
- BS/BA in Engineering; MBA preferred.
- Black Belt certified.
- 10 years business experience; 2-3 of those years was an active leader in process improvement programs or positions in a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated experience developing and implementing the above listed essential functions.
- Experience supervising multiple people performing continuous improvement activities.
Physical Requirements:
- Light office activities and duties.
- Occasional material inspections, which involves some light lifting.
