What you will do as our Senior Firmware Developer
As a Senior Firmware Developer, you will:
- Maintain, optimize, and develop firmware for our NFC-based guestroom access systems and related products, which are deployed in millions of hotel rooms worldwide
- Debug and enhance existing firmware based on ATxmega platforms and low-level programming, ensuring compatibility and performance across a wide range of use cases
- Implement new features, including integrations with mobile phone readers, while carefully refactoring existing code to ensure maintainability and reliability
- Collaborate with a skilled firmware team focused on guestroom access control systems, consisting of developers and supported by dedicated test engineers, agile coach and a product owner
- Work on code tailored for battery-powered devices, focusing on low power consumption and high performance
- Contribute to the development of firmware for other access control applications, such as elevators, common doors, and garages
The skills and experience you need
We are looking for someone who:
- Has 5+ years of experience in embedded firmware development, particularly with Embedded C and debugging complex systems
- Is familiar with microcontroller platforms (experience with ATxmega, bare metal, FreeRTOS and I2C, SPI, UART is a strong plus)
- Understands the nuances of coding for battery-powered, energy-efficient devices
- Understands cryptography and secure coding practices
- Is proficient in both English and Swedish.
- Enjoys working in a collaborative, agile environment and is motivated by solving complex challenges
