In our Business Segment Pedestrian within ASSA ABLOY Entrance Systems Division
As part of the Product Support team for our Product Unit Swing Doors, you will serve our customers with expertise, support, and training. You will interact with a wide range of stakeholders, including installers, service technicians, and sales organizations across the globe. As a Product Specialist, you play a key role in gathering and feeding back product and customer insights to R&D, helping identify potential shortcomings and ensuring that future solutions address customer needs and market requirements.
You will be part of a dynamic R&D organization working with products within our Product Unit Swing Doors in the Business Segment Pedestrian. Our door automation solutions serve millions of people every day in public environments, and we take pride in meeting national and international safety standards without compromising user experience, energy efficiency, or security.
About the Position
Being a Product Specialist for Swing Doors means supporting a broad portfolio of products and door systems. You will work with high-volume products sold worldwide. As market demands continue to evolve, we see an increasing focus on sustainable and environmentally friendly solutions as well as compliance with new regulatory requirements. This area will be an important focus going forward.
The Swing Doors product area is currently undergoing an exciting modernization journey. In this role, you will work closely with development teams across software, mechanics, electronics, and app/configuration tools, contributing valuable product knowledge throughout the development process.
What you will be doing
- Providing technical support, expertise, and training to our business units and customers worldwide, acting as a trusted product specialist for our Swing Door portfolio.
- Developing deep expertise in our products and act as a key technical resource for business units, customers, and internal stakeholders.
- Driving and coordinating product change management activities together with R&D and Supply Chain.
- Collaborating closely with product teams, R&D, factories, and other global stakeholders, while providing feedback based on customer insights, claims, and change requests.
- Developing and maintaining product documentation and training materials, and delivering product training to employees, customers, and partners.
- Participating in product testing, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement activities to enhance product performance and customer experience.
What will help you succeed
- At least 5 years of experience working in a global and complex organization (ideally within technical support, product development, systems engineering, R&D, or a similar environment).
- The ability to understand products from a system perspective and connect different disciplines such as software, electronics, mechanics, and product integration.
- Experience supporting, developing, or integrating technical products and turning complex technical topics into practical solutions.
- Strong communication skills in English and the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders across functions, cultures, and regions.
- An independent, proactive, and structured way of working, combined with the confidence to take ownership of technical topics and drive them forward.
- A collaborative mindset, curiosity, and a genuine interest in continuously building expertise within a globally deployed product portfolio.
