What you will do as our Product Safety Manager 
You'll become part of a 25-person team (with 4 dedicated to Product Safety) and report to our Product Development Shared Services Manager in Sweden. As a Product Safety Manager, you are part of the Product Development organization and are responsible for our products fulfilling regulatory requirements and standards. You ensure that safety-related aspects are covered. 

 

You would also:
•    Support organization with worldwide product regulatory requirements/standards
•    Handle, monitor, and inform about 3rd party tests and approvals (TÜV, KRIWAN, RI.SE, UL)
•    Provide plans and support for Product Development and Supply Chain
•    Ensure product compliance with Declaration of Incorporation, Declaration of Conformity, and/or Declaration of Performance
•    Participate in international and national standardization committees, both externally and internally

 

The skills and experience you need
We are looking for someone who:

•    has a comprehensive grasp of regulatory frameworks
•    has a strong technical expertise in product/process design
•    has proficiency in machinery risk assessment
•    has experience in machinery safety and functional safety of controls
•    has potential involvement in training internal teams on standards interpretation
•    is skilled in crafting certification plans for product projects

 

The ideal candidate for this role holds a Master's or bachelor's degree in science or long experience working within product safety. Possesses approximately five years of professional experience, including three years working with TÜV, KRIWAN, RI.SE, or UL. If you have a profound technical understanding and prior experience with software-, electronics-, and/or mechatronic-based products, it would be advantageous. Additionally, the candidate should be skilled at linking legal requirements to technical solutions. It will be an advantage if you have a track record of participating in standardization committees/working groups and collaborating with third-party test labs.
On a personal level, the ideal candidate is pragmatic, thorough, and communicative, with a strong drive and a continuous improvement mindset. You should also demonstrate the ability to collaborate effectively in a multifunctional global project organization.
Given that English is the corporate language, proficiency in English, including speaking, reading, and writing, is essential for seamless interaction with international colleagues.
