Product Owner Revolving Doors

Are you ready to bring your innovative perspective and creative skills to ASAA ABLOY Business Segment Pedestrian (BSP) within the ASSA ABLOY Entrance Systems? Join our team in Landskrona, Sweden and enjoy a collaborative culture that empowers you to build a career you can be proud of.

What would you do as our Product Owner Revolving Doors.

As Product Owner for our Revolving Door product range, you assume full technical ownership of a comprehensive and established product line. Coordinating a multidisciplinary R&D team spanning hardware, firmware, and mechanical engineering, you will set priorities, drive alignment with portfolio priorities, and create the conditions in which engineers can perform and grow at their best.

This position is well suited to a technically grounded person who combines hands-on engineering insight with the ability to coach a team, manage complexity, and drive results with discipline and clarity.

The role reports to Head of Security Entrance Control and Revolving Doors, and works closely with senior stakeholders across product management, manufacturing, quality, and global ASSA ABLOY divisions to drive innovation, performance, and long-term business impact.

You would also:

  • Oversee and develop a multidisciplinary R&D team — provide clear direction and hands-on management of hardware, firmware, and mechanical engineers; foster a culture of technical excellence, structured problem-solving, and continuous professional development, while coaching the team toward stronger resolution-making and greater ownership.
  • Own the full product development lifecycle — drive concept, validation, industrialisation, and ongoing lifecycle improvements, while ensuring consistent adherence to applicable safety and quality standards, including ISO, CE, EN16005, and UL.
  • Define and execute the R&D strategy — establish the product roadmap, ensure alignment with broader portfolio and business targets, manage R&D resources, budgets, and timelines, and embed sustainability principles across all stages of product development.
  • Drive innovation and the adoption of emerging technologies — identify opportunities to enhance product performance and design, stimulate creative thinking within the team, and evaluate the application of IoT, connectivity, AI, and other forward-looking technologies across the product range.
  • Represent the product externally and manage key stakeholder relationships — act as a credible technical ambassador in customer meetings, trade shows, and industry forums, while maintaining strong internal alignment with segment management, commercial product managers, and factory teams.

The skills and experience you need

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Engineering foundation — a degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or a related field, combined with a solid background in R&D for electromechanical products gained through hands-on engineering, product development, or early-career coordination roles.
  • Product lifecycle expertise — demonstrated experience managing the full development lifecycle, from concept and validation through to industrialisation and continuous improvement, with a strong understanding of systems, spare parts, and lifecycle stewardship.
  • Technical guidance skills— proven ability to lead and coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams, with the capacity to set direction, manage priorities, and drive delivery across hardware, firmware, and mechanical disciplines.
  • Compliance and quality awareness — familiarity with relevant safety and quality standards such as ISO, CE, EN16005, and UL, and a structured approach to process optimisation and regulatory adherence.
  • Domain knowledge and technology acumen — familiarity with revolving doors, door mechanics, drive systems, sensors, or embedded control units is a strong advantage. We equally welcome candidates who bring technical curiosity, analytical strength, and the motivation to grow into a product ownership role. An interest in emerging technologies such as IoT, connectivity, and AI is highly valued.

You are a natural leader who guides with clarity and purpose — someone who inspires confidence in a team not through authority alone, but through genuine engagement, consistent follow-through, and a willingness to roll up your sleeves when it matters. You think in possibilities, approaching technical tasks with creativity and a structured mind, always looking for smarter ways forward.

You are customer-centric by nature, with a keen sense of how engineering decisions translate into real-world impact — both for end users and for the business. You balance technical depth with pragmatic judgement, knowing when to dive into the details and when to step back and see the bigger picture. Proficiency in spoken and written English is essential. Additional languages are a welcome advantage.

Above all, you act with integrity. You take ownership of your work and your team's outcomes, bring a safety-conscious mindset to every resolution, and hold yourself accountable to the highest standards — commercially, technically, and as a supervisor of people.
