Innovation Process Manager
Are you passionate about improving how products are developed, helping teams work more effectively, and driving sustainability initiatives that make a real impact? ASSA ABLOY Entrance Systems is looking for an Innovation Process Manager to join our CTO organization.
In this unique role, you will combine process improvement, stakeholder coordination, sustainability enablement, and change management to support our Product Units across Europe. You will help strengthen common ways of working, guide teams through innovation and product development processes, and ensure sustainability requirements are successfully embedded into the development of our products. In this role, you'll thrive in a collaborative, innovative culture that empowers you to build a career to be proud of.
What you will do as our Innovation Process Manager
As our Innovation Process Manager, you will play a key role in driving continuous improvement across our product development organization. You will support teams in applying innovation processes, product sustainability requirements, and best practices, while helping create alignment across multiple Product Units and functions.
In this role, you will drive sustainability integration within the product development process by ensuring sustainability considerations are embedded into decision-making, requirements, governance, and reporting throughout the product lifecycle. You will work closely with two other Sustainability resources in the team, one being our Sustainability expert.
You will act as a trusted partner to stakeholders across R&D, Product Management, Supply Chain, Product Compliance, and Corporate Sustainability, ensuring teams have the guidance, tools, and support they need to succeed.
You would also:
- Support and continuously improve our product development and innovation processes, driving adoption of common ways of working across Product Units, and ensuring effective governance across the organization.
- Lead process improvement initiatives by facilitating stakeholder collaboration, developing templates, documentation, and governance frameworks, and supporting teams through training, onboarding activities, workshops, and day-to-day guidance.
- Enable sustainable product development by integrating sustainability requirements and objectives into the innovation process, including areas such as carbon footprint reduction, EcoDesign principles, material compliance, circularity, and evolving regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate product sustainability reporting activities, including product sustainability KPIs, Scope 3 carbon footprint data collection, validation, and reporting, while working closely with relevant stakeholders and sustainability experts.
- Maintain and continuously improve tools supporting innovation processes, including Jira and Confluence, ensuring efficient ways of working and effective information management.
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders across R&D, Product Management, Supply Chain, Product Compliance, and Corporate Sustainability, participating in gateway reviews and driving alignment, engagement, and adoption of processes, tools, and new ways of working.
The skills and experience you need
We are looking for someone who has:
- 5-7 years of experience working within product development, engineering, or technical environments, with experience in product sustainability, process management, project coordination, or related areas.
- Experience leading or coordinating projects, process improvement initiatives, or cross-functional activities within product development organizations.
- Experience working with multiple stakeholders across functions and locations.
- Strong communication skills and experience conducting training sessions, or stakeholder engagement activities.
- Understanding of sustainability concepts such as circularity, EcoDesign, lifecycle assessments (LCA), and Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs).
- Knowledge of environmental directives and regulations such as REACH and RoHS.
- Fluency in English, written and spoken.
You are a structured, collaborative, and service-oriented professional with a pedagogical mindset who enjoys helping teams solve problems and improve the way they work. You have a strong ability to translate complex requirements into practical solutions, build trust across diverse stakeholder groups, and drive initiatives through influence, communication, and collaboration. With a hands-on mindset and strong coordination skills, you are comfortable managing multiple priorities and supporting organizational change.
Experience working with Jira and Confluence is important, while administration or configuration experience is considered an advantage. Most importantly, you are passionate about supporting innovation, enabling sustainable product development, and creating positive change across the organization.
