IDD-Parts is a fast growing, international organization that supplies spare parts for the repair, service and maintenance of many brands of industrial and residential sectional overhead doors, high speed doors, docking systems and pedestrian doors. This includes panels, springs, motors, cables, hinges, rollers, etc. We currently serve the European market from our facilities in the Netherlands, Germany, United Kingdom and France. Additionally, sales are done out of Poland, Sweden and Italy. To help us to achieve our ambitions to become a clear EMEA market leader in supplying spare parts, we are looking for a General Manager.
IDD-Parts is part of Sectional Doors & Components (SDC), part of the business segment Industrial within ASSA ABLOY Entrance Systems.
In this position you report to the President SDC.
What you will be doing
Accountable for the management and coordination of the global IDD-Parts organization & business. You establish the strategic and operational orientation, providing the leadership and vision for the effective overall management, increased profitability and growth of the business.
Your key responsibilities are:
- Creating and executing the overall strategy for IDD-Parts in Europe within the guidelines of ASSA ABLOY.
- Managing and overseeing the overall (business) operations of and the sales/commerce of IDD-Parts.
- Managing the entire P&L for IDD-Parts.
- Developing and overseeing the execution of, and ensure progress of, the annual business budget, capital budget and the mid-term business plan. Including support to US entities buying and re-selling IDD-Parts items (intra-group transactions).
- Driving growth & new business both organically and through acquisitions. Maintaining a list of possible acquisition targets.
- Change management by implementing the new business within the IDD-Parts business & organization.
- Establishing and implementing strategies that have mid to long-term (3-5 years) impact on business results in alignment with parent/independent organization objectives.
- Sales, driving large accounts and setting strategic Client Plans, Sales Training, Sales Operations/Administration (i.e. commercial target setting), Price Management (setting prices)
- Being the voice of the customer and market and bring input to the organization to drive continuous improvement (specification, customer experience, quality, performance etc.)
- Managing a team of employees and have recruitment, hiring and firing responsibilities.
- Ensuring the development of individuals within the organization and monitors training needs.
- Coaching and motivating people to allow them to achieve both organizational and individual objectives.
What we are looking for
- Management experience 5y+ in field of sales/marketing with technical product offering in different sales channels, online marketing.
- Experience in leading and developing a team, work in international setting, work with remote teams on different locations;
- Frontline sales capability in a technical B to B environment
- Leadership and People Management
- Willingness to travel and work in international setting.
- Demonstrated knowledge of market and competitive environment.
- Experience in developing and implementing strategic business plans.
- Strong technical aptitude and able to convey and understand technical concepts.
Furthermore:
- 5-8 years of experience in a similar role.
- Higher education (Bachelor’s or Master’s degree) or equivalent by experience, with a strong sales/marketing background
- Excellent written and spoken skills in English
- Excellent skills in Microsoft Office/Excel, experienced ERP user
