ASSA ABLOY is seeking a commercially minded and transformational manufacturing leader to join Business Segment Industrial (BSI) Europe as Director of Manufacturing. BSI Europe is a market-leading provider of industrial entrance solutions, including high-performance doors, loading dock equipment, perimeter access solutions, components, and service offerings that improve efficiency, productivity, safety, and sustainability for customers across industrial, logistics, and commercial environments.
With approximately 6,000 employees, 25 manufacturing sites, 35 brands, operations in 15 countries, and annual sales of approximately EUR 1.2 billion, BSI Europe is a large and diverse industrial business within ASSA ABLOY. In this strategically important leadership role, you will lead Manufacturing, Procurement, Quality, and Continuous Improvement across Europe, driving operational excellence, customer satisfaction, profitability, and long-term growth.
The Opportunity
As a member of the BSI Europe leadership team, you will define and execute the manufacturing and supply chain strategy across a complex, multi-site, multi-country organization.
You will be responsible for building a world-class manufacturing footprint, enhancing productivity, quality, and customer service performance, while developing the capabilities of a large international team. The role leads a number of plant managers directly, while also influencing and coordinating a broader network of manufacturing leaders across the region through indirect reporting lines.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead Manufacturing, Procurement, Quality, and Continuous Improvement across Europe
- Drive operational excellence, productivity improvements, and cost competitiveness
- Develop and execute the regional manufacturing and supply chain strategy
- Deliver best-in-class customer service, quality, and delivery performance
- Lead Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and transformation initiatives across multiple sites
- Optimize manufacturing footprint, planning processes, inventory, and material flows
- Support business growth, new product introductions, and operational scalability
- Build leadership capability, succession plans, and a high-performing manufacturing culture
- Partner closely with Commercial, Engineering, Finance, and HR leaders across the region
Who We Are Looking For
You are an experienced manufacturing executive who combines strategic thinking with operational execution. You have successfully led complex, multi-site manufacturing organizations and know how to drive performance through people, processes, and continuous improvement.
You bring:
- 10+ years of senior leadership experience in manufacturing, operations, supply chain, or procurement
- Proven success leading multiple manufacturing facilities across several countries
- Strong industrial manufacturing background
- Experience driving large-scale operational transformation and continuous improvement programs
- Strong financial and commercial acumen with responsibility for operational performance and P&L delivery
- A collaborative leadership style with the ability to influence across functions and cultures
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and operational excellence frameworks
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
