Rotational Development Program Associate

     

 

Job Summary

Our Rotational Development Program (RDP) is a two-year journey (24 months) designed to immerse you in the core of our Kwikset Mechanical Locks business through multiple assignments across various functions. Must be available to work onsite in our Lake Forest office 3 days a week for our hybrid schedule – Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Will be remote Mondays and Fridays.

 

Rotational Focus Areas

As a member of the RDP, you will have an opportunity to experience multiple facets of our business.  Our goal is to expose you to the breadth of Kwikset products, processes, and team members that make our business so successful.  Core areas are listed below, but rotational placement will vary according to the applicant’s focus and the business needs

 

Operations

Collaborate with manufacturing teams, plant leadership, and operational excellence experts to ensure our products are built and delivered to the highest standards. You’ll apply LEAN principles, support Six Sigma projects, and contribute to strategic initiatives like facility planning and site optimization.

 

Supply Chain

During this rotation, you will work with our Global Supply Chain team. You will have the opportunity to enhance your logistics, planning, and purchasing skills while optimizing how our supply chain services our production, and warehousing, facilities.  In today’s globalized marketplace, our supply chain professionals are experts at ensuring a steady flow of materials while optimizing our cost structure.

 

Quality

Gain handson experience with core quality systems, product standards, and continuous improvement practices. You’ll collaborate with crossfunctional teams to analyze data, troubleshoot issues, and help ensure products and processes meet regulatory and customer expectations.

 

Marketing

During this rotation, you will have the chance to blend creativity with data driven strategy while shaping how products are brought to market. gain experience in market research, brand positioning, digital campaigns, and customer engagement, working closely with teams across the business to understand audience needs.

 

Finance

A rotation in Finance provides exposure to the numbers behind strategic decisionmaking and daytoday operations. This experience builds strong analytical skills, business acumen, and a clear understanding of how financial insights drive company performance.

 

Education and Experience Profile

  • Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, Marketing or Business-related degree with minimum of 3.0 GPA
  • Previous degree-specific internship desirable
  • Strong track record of involvement and engagement with on/off campus activities

 

Required Skills

  • Computer literate on all Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong organizational and presentation skills
  • Effective communicator, both written and oral
  • Strong emphasis on achieving commitments
  • Self-motivated to multi-task and meet deadlines assigned
  • Driven to seek out challenges and find solutions

 

Work Environment:

  • Working conditions are normal for an office environment.
  • Ability to travel domestically

 

Pay Range: $65,000-$75,000.

This “base salary range” is a reasonable estimate for this position at the time of posting. Pay within each range is based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, to primary work job-related knowledge, skills, experience, business requirements and geographic location.
