As Test Automation Engineer, reporting to Global Quality Assurance Manageryou will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test frameworks and test suites for UI and API testing. You will collaborate closely with the development and quality assurance teams to identify test requirements, create test cases, execute tests, and report defects. Your strong technical skills, attention to detail, and passion for quality will contribute to our ongoing success.

As our Test Automation Engineer, you’ll support HID’s success by: 

 

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and test suites for UI and API testing.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand testing requirements, design test cases, and define test objectives.

  • Write efficient, reliable, and maintainable automation code using Java, ensuring high test coverage and adherence to coding standards.

  • Execute automated tests, analyze test results, and report defects in a timely manner.

  • Conduct root cause analysis of defects and work with the development team to resolve issues.

  • Continuously improve and enhance the automation testing process and methodologies.

  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior team members, promoting best practices and knowledge sharing.

  • Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and advancements in automation testing tools and frameworks.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and prioritize testing needs, ensuring product quality meets the highest standards.

  • Participate in Agile development processes, including sprint planning, stand-up meetings, and retrospectives.

  • Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker

  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

 

Your Experience and Education include:             

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

  • Proven experience as a Test Automation Engineer, focusing on UI and API testing.

  • Strong proficiency in Java programming language.

  • Hands-on experience with automation testing frameworks such as Selenium WebDriver.

  • In-depth understanding of API testing tools like Postman, REST Assured, or SOAPUI.

  • Familiarity with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and tools such as Jenkins or GitLab.

  • Knowledge of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and ability to analyze and troubleshoot UI issues.

  • Good English language skills.
  • Good French language skills is a plus.
