What you would do as our Global Operations Center Engineer:
Join our team in Kraków to work as an IT Infrastructure Engineer delivering network and security global services. In close collaboration with internal technical teams and external strategic partners, you would be a part of a team that increases efficiency and quality of the network and security infrastructure. As part of daily activities, you would contribute to suggesting improvements of services within portfolio. Excellent customer service and customer experience skills are essential.
This role is part of the Group IT Global Operations Center (GOC) which is a function now further expanded to be the control center of all infrastructure services that Group IT delivers, securing service works by working closely with monitoring solutions as well as being the interface to our customers related to changes, requests, and incidents (shift work, 24/7). You will be reporting to Network & Security Manager – Global Operations Center.
You would also:
· Troubleshoot technical issues related to global network and security services.
· Respond to customer inquiries and assist with the deployment and configuration of the services.
· Collaborate with internal technical teams, customers, and external strategic partners to deliver, maintain, and improve high-quality and efficient network infrastructure.
· Ensure high level of customer satisfaction through excellent communication and problem-handling skills.
Service areas and technologies:
• LAN / WAN – internet, site to site connectivity and local area network support. Technologies: Cisco Catalyst, Velocloud VCE and VCO.
• Firewalls – securing network access, policy maintenance and troubleshooting. Technologies: Palo Alto NGFW, Panorama Firewall Management, Algosec Firewall Analyzer and Fireflow.
• Remote Access VPN – enabling and supporting global mobile connectivity service allowing secure access to internal company networks from anywhere. Technologies: Pulse Secure (Ivanti).
• Remote Access / Proxy – secure remote access and application publishing based on Zero Trust principles, including secure web gateway, reverse proxy services and identity-based access control for internal and SaaS applications. Technologies: Cloudflare Zero Trust (Access, Gateway, WARP), Cloudflare Reverse Proxy, Secure Web Gateway (SWG), DNS filtering.
• Global Wi-Fi – implementation and maintenance of wireless network access at various company locations. Technologies: Cisco access points and wireless controllers, Cisco Prime Infrastructure, Cisco Identity Services Engine.
• Monitoring – achieving network visibility and alerting through utilization of SolarWinds, NetFlow, Splunk and other high-grade infrastructure observability and analytics tools.
• DDI – leveraging Infoblox DDI (DHCP, DNS, IPAM) solution to deliver core network services, maintain network visibility and clear network documentation. Technologies: Infoblox DDI.
The skills and experience you need
We are looking for someone who has:
· Strong technical background in IT support, with experience troubleshooting issues in network and security areas.
· Knowledge of computer networks and security protocols.
· Experience working with both hardware and software-based network solutions.
· Customer-focused with excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
· Passion for technology and self-development.
· Knowledge of the spoken and written English language including technical vocabulary.
It would be an advantage if you have:
- CCNA, CompTIA Network+ or other relevant IT certifications, or an equivalent level of hands-on professional experience.
- Experience working in a multinational environment, collaborating with colleagues across different countries, and the ability to build strong relationships with customers and vendors.
