Summary
Reporting to the Regional Head of NAPAC, you will be responsible for supporting our key OEM partners in NAPAC & ANZ to specify and sell our Mercury & Aero Controllers into System Integrators, End Users and Consultants. In addition, you will be responsible for hunting for new controller partners within the APAC region
You will be expected to support and collaborate across the whole team to develop business and project specifications.
As our Business Development Manager, APAC, you’ll support HID’s success by:
- Manage and develop all assigned Accounts within your region to achieve set targets of controller business
- Field based position with 60% of your time spent travelling and engaging with customers.
- Identify new sales opportunities to increase market share in an established market
- Working cross functionally with key OEM partners to ensure controller portfolio is fully utilized within their portfolio
- Specifying Controllers within key end user projects
- Hunt and coordinate with local channel teams on new controller partners and support them develop the relevant software
- Devise and implement business plans to accommodate strategic goals
- Support our Key Controllers Accounts in your region, nurture the local sales relationship
- Deliver the required support & training to controller OEMs, customers and key accounts
- Support and deliver training to Consultants and specifiers
- Conduct regular market analysis to determine the customers’ needs
- Represent the company at trade shows, customer events and association meetings as required
- Collaborate across business areas to efficiently deliver solutions to meet customer needs
- Maintain customer details, activities and opportunities using the Salesforce CRM Tool
- Maintain up to date knowledge of all HID Products and competitive products
- Prepare and submit accurate forecasts on a regular basis using the tools provided
- Create a Partner Community in order to maximize brand loyalty and revenue
Qualifications

Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor Degree or Equivalent, majoring in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science is preferred
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience managing key accounts in a B2B environment
- Demonstrable ability to hit sales targets
- Previous experience of selling Physical Access Control solutions
- Experience in a solution selling environment specifically Saas and/or Cloud based licensing models would be desirable
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to work as a self-starter, but also a work effectively as part of a team
- Hands on attitude with the ability to manage multiple projects, successfully prioritizing
- Experience of Salesforce.com CRM platform
Language Skills
- Ability to effectively communicate in English language, both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to read and interpret technical journals, specifications, international technical standards.
Computer Skills
- Proficient in MS Office applications, such as Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
- Familiar with operating systems, such as Windows, etc.
- Experience in using Salesforce CRM
