The Northwest Service Center (an ASSA ABLOY company) is a manufacturer of steel doors and frames for the commercial and industrial markets. We are growing and we need your help to support that growth! Our facility based in Kent, Washington is looking to add motivated individuals who enjoy performing various order entry tasks to help the operation run smoothly.

 

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING:

As the Shipping/Receiving Coordinator associate, you will be responsible for providing administrative support as it relates to inbound material receiving, outbound order shipping, inventory management, and quality control.  

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare paperwork for shipments such as manifests, packing slips, bills of lading, and invoice.
  • Create inbound truck pool logs.
  • Create inbound order pallet labels.
  • Create inbound order document packets.
  • System-receive all inbound material.
  • Create & distribute daily Open Orders and Outbound reports.
  • Daily auditing and oversite of open orders to ensure the quick outbound flow of orders.
  • Create Bill of Ladings (BOL’s).
  • Communicate order readiness to customer base while working with customers to have their completed orders picked up in a timely manner.
  • Invoice orders.
  • Conduct daily cycle counts.
  • Audit inventory integrity through the creation, investigation, and analysis of various inventory reports.
  • Inspect & audit material/product quality through documents and processes
  • Investigate and track status of orders as necessary.
  • Scheduling of job site order deliveries.
  • Oversee the flow of back-ordered material through the process in an expeditious fashion.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position does not have direct supervisory responsibilities.

 

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 3+ years experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment
  • Forklift experience desired
  • Experience working successfully in a B2B environment
  • Manufacturing and/or building material products knowledge desired

 

 

 

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

 

Language Ability

Ability to read, write, and interpret documents in English.  Good communication skills both written and verbal.  Ability to speak effectively before groups of people. 

 

Mathematical Ability

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Must know, understand and utilize basic mathematical formulas.

 

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.  Ability to solve practical problems.

 

Computer Skills

Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, email and order processing software; Knowledge of ERP systems and processes.

 

Other Skills

Excellent written/oral communication, organizational and technical service skills. Ability to work effectively and positively in a team environment under limited supervision.
