Our regional manufacturing facility or Service Center located in Kent, Washington is looking for an Operations Manager (our internal title is  Service Center Manager).

What would you do as our Operations Manager or Service Center Manager?

You would have full ownership of the daily manufacturing operations and be an integral part of all facets including fabrication and production, materials, capacity planning, production scheduling, safety, customer satisfaction, employee relations and delivery by setting the operational standard.

 

You would also:

  • Lead others in developing lean initiatives and improving procedures and processes. 
  • Focus on developing customer relations, freight and distribution, capacity and manpower planning, inventory management and replenishment, and production scheduling
  • Plan and effectively execute operational strategy to meet or exceed budgetary expectations
  • Develop enhanced organizational capabilities and create a collaborative high performance work environment through employee training, development, and succession planning
  • Oversee expense budgets to ensure compliance with organizational expenditure requirements
  • Establish operational standards and KPI’s for cost control, waste reduction, quality, safety, inventory management, complete and on-time delivery while focusing on reducing cost
  • Identify and proactively streamline organizational processes and trends; recommend alternatives for improved effectiveness
  • Perform special assignments and projects as assigned
  • Maintain a safe and harmonious working environment holding self and others accountable to OSHA and ASSA ABLOY standards
  • Assure compliance with federal, state, local and corporate policies, regulations, AADG programs and policies and the ASSA ABLOY Code of Conduct

 

 

The Skills and Experience you need: 

  • High School or GED required
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field preferred
  • Minimum of four (4) or more years of operational leadership experience with a demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others
  • Knowledge of continuous and process improvement and Lean principles such as Kaizen, Six Sigma, etc.
  • Experience in metal forming or related field and/or a general understanding of the construction industry, preferably the commercial construction industry
  • Leadership ability, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to develop relationships and influence all levels within the organization
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, organizational, follow-up and a high comfort level balancing multiple priorities or projects simultaneously
  • Ability to travel approx. 20%-25% off the time

PAY: $90,000 - $150,000, depending on experience plus bonus.
