Our Northwest Service Center based in Kent, WA is look for a Frame Cell Lead (Manufacturing Production Lead).

What you will be doing as our Frame Cell Lead?
You will be assisting the manager with welding and manufacturing steel frames for doors. These frames will be used in commercial buildings such as schools, hotels, businesses, and hospitals. If you enjoy working with your hands knowing that your work makes a difference in providing a more safer open world for you and others, this could be for you!
You will also:
- This working lead position assists in overseeing and personally participating in all aspects of production.
- Maximize efficiencies and minimize waste within the team and the operation.
- Ensure orders are completed in a correct and timely fashion to maximize customer on time delivery.
- Ensure all tools and equipment are safe to operate and maintained according to preventive maintenance and/or other established schedules.
- Plan and schedule all resources in a manner that will ensure effective completion of tasks and goals.
- Ensure that assigned people are trained in their respective duties and cross-trained in other areas as required, so to ensure exceptional quality, timely completion, and service.
- Enforce compliance of all state, federal, and OSHA regulations along with all company standards and the ASSA ABLOY Code of Conduct.
- Ensure quality control measures are in place to ensure the manufacturing of a top-quality product.
- Train, coach, and monitor other team members in the work cell.
- Assign work to employees accordingly and fill in where necessary.
- Ensure that each employee has the proper tools and that all tools are being maintained in safe, good-working conditions.
- Ensure timely completion of all orders.
- Maintain inventory on necessary supplies while being responsible for the completion of all material requisitions for needed supplies.
- Monitor and track production numbers required for daily reports.
- Learn and understand each functional job in the frame cell.
- Able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds individually.
- Perform quality work in a timely fashion.
- Will be required to work overtime as needed.
The Skills and Experience you need:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 3+ years of experience in a like or similar industry.
- Experience leading teams of 5+ people in a manufacturing setting.
- Manufacturing experience required, preferably in a steel/metal environment (i.e. tool and die, HVAC metal, light gauge steel, etc..).
- Basic geometry and math skills (decimals to fractions) required to understand complex instructions, prints and designs.
- Ability to read blueprints and understand engineering drawings required.
- Familiarity with grinding and welding a plus.
- Familiarity with CNC processes preferred.
- Experience with shear and break presses preferred (i.e. Accupress, Cincinnati).
- Must be knowledgeable and capable of performing multiple manufacturing processes while working with various equipment and machinery.
- Experience converting sheets of light gauge metal to various forms and shapes is a plus.
- Experience with ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) software is a plus..

Compensation: $30-$38/hour depending on experience
