Engineering Manager needed at 4Front Engineered Solutions in Kenosha, WI           

What you will be doing

• Developing project objectives, concepts, design approaches and specifications
• Ensuring component manufacturability and cost effectiveness
• Confirming product performance
• Instructing engineering department on CAD drawing preparation, layout requirements, accuracy of design, tolerances, and material specifications. 
• Executing tasks for research, development and testing of new products and improvements of existing products or components
• Keeping informed on new developments through contacts, professional societies (i.e. DASMA), trade shows and review of tests, technical paper and journals
• Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of new materials and development software
• Document and apply for new patent opportunities
• Overseeing external product documentation to stay current with changes
• Making decisions to ensure product quality and reliability
• Working directly with suppliers
• Working with Customer Service, Technical Support and Production to resolve product field applications or performance problems
• Working with Sales, Operations and Marketing to develop quality products, cost-effectively
• Providing technical specifications for marketing new products

What we are looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field and professional engineering licensure
• 7-10+ years being responsible for engineering product design with a strong background work within a manufacturing environment
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Capability to develop, coordinate, and manage multiple concurrent projects
• Independent judgment and discretion with project framework for planning, organization, control, integration and completion of projects and company objectives
• Problem solver who can deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardizations exist
