Our expertise in customer journey mapping, innovation, and service design enables the creation of new solutions that deliver value to our clients and provide exceptional experiences for their end-users. We have a fantastic opportunity for a Mobile App Developer Intern.

Your Role in Keeping the Future in Safe Hands…

The Mobile App Developer Intern will support the design, development, and optimization of PTI’s mobile applications used by both customers and internal stakeholders. This role provides hands-on experience with production-grade mobile development in an agile, cross-functional environment.

Key Responsibilities in your role…

The intern will work closely with experienced engineers, designers, and product leaders to deliver scalable, user-centric mobile solutions using Flutter and modern development practices.

Core Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development of new features and enhancements for Flutter-based mobile applications.

  • Convert UI/UX designs and wireframes into clean, responsive, and maintainable code.

  • Assist with integration of backend services and third-party APIs (e.g., Firebase, REST APIs).

  • Participate in debugging, testing, and performance optimization efforts.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional team members within an agile delivery model.

  • Adhere to version control, coding standards, and documentation practices.

Required Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline (senior-level coursework preferred).

  • Demonstrated experience with Flutter through coursework, internships, or personal projects.

  • Working knowledge of Dart and common Flutter state-management patterns.

  • Familiarity with Git or similar version-control systems.

  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Experience

  • Exposure to Firebase, RESTful APIs, or CI/CD pipelines.

  • Familiarity with native mobile development (iOS or Android).

  • Prior experience delivering a mobile app from concept to completion.

  • Portfolio or GitHub repository demonstrating relevant work.

Internship Expectations

  • Hands-on contribution: This is not a shadowing-only internship; the intern is expected to write production-quality code under supervision.

  • Learning velocity: The intern should be able to ramp quickly, accept feedback, and iteratively improve.

  • Collaboration: Regular interaction with developers, designers, and product stakeholders is expected.

  • Accountability: Assigned tasks should be completed on time with appropriate communication and documentation.

  • Professional maturity: Operate with discretion, reliability, and respect for internal systems and data.

  • Internship Duration: 6-month initial duration with the possibility of extension or Co-op opportunity (gateway to full-time opportunity with ASSA ABLOY)

  • Expected Hours & Working Location: Minimum of 21 hours/week with on-site presence Tuesday-Thursday each week.
