Storeman/Driver

     

 

Purpose of the Role:

 

To ensure that all planned collections and deliveries are executed timeously, perform effective put away, replenishment and issuance of Raw Material to production whilst conducting adequate cycle counts and variance investigation reports on Raw Material items.

 

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Maintain safe, healthy and risk-free work environment.
  • To ensure day-to-day compliance of company procedures within the Receiving Department.
  • Ensure and maintain functional good housekeeping- 5S.
  • Conducting daily inspection of Forklift Machine and Vehicle allocated and then reporting deviations to the Logistics Manager
  • Collection and delivery of material from point of origin to desired Assa Abloy Stakeholders
  • Ensure effective and efficient issuance of required raw material to production
  • Conduct daily cycle counts and report on quantities on hand to ensure on time purchasing materials
  • Conduct cycle count variance investigation reports and report on them
  • Manage assigned 3PL stock levels and ensure inventory accuracy
  • Manage and drive Inbound Turnaround time of maximum 1 day.
  • Run Leverlock order book to ensure correct materials are available and then escalate possible shortages to the buying team as per order book requirements
  • Correctly Weighing and dispatching of scrap materials
  • Accurately counting and acknowledging received stock from Assa Abloy Suppliers.

 

 

Qualifications & Experience:

 

  • Grade 12- Matric.
  • 2 Year of minimum work experience.
  • Incumbent must be fluent both written and verbally in English.
  • In possession of a valid Forklift License.
  • In possession of a valid Code 10 Drivers License.
  • Ability to operate and control Material Handling Equipments
  • Ability to operate and control a 4 Ton Truck

 

Desirable

 

  • Higher Certificate in Logistics.
  • Valid Code 14 Drivers License.
  • Micro-soft office package intermediate knowledge.
