Software Technician

Experience
- Experience service industry or in the Hospitality industry will be a great advantage
- Must have at least 3-5 years’ work experience
- Must have basic computer networking experience
- Computer Literate
- Understand and use of basic Electronics
- Access control setup and installation will be a great advantage

SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE
- Knowledge of Access control systems
- Remote access/ File sharing knowledge
- Windows/Linux operating system
ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Standby weekly and weekends
- Having your own car is essential and in good working conditions
- Customer service is vital part of this position
- Attending scheduled call outs, managing and rescheduled call outs not attended to timeously
- Quoting clients, secure the purchase order and send all details to Admin Support at HQ
- Sign offs completed at the end of a task
- Accurate service reporting on system daily
- Must be willing to occasionally travel outside of South African borders for work
- Candidate must be well spoken and be able to address emails in a professional manner
- Actively manage emails referred
- Manage credit/petrol card expenditure
BASIC FUNCTIONS
- Diagnose and repair our software and hardware systems
- Diagnosing network related issues
- Interface Vingcard software with client’s property management system
- Be able to troubleshoot any software-related issues as well as our all Vingcard-related hardware and carry out repairs
- Build database for new and existing clients
- Perform remote assistance to clients not easily accessible
- Program and configure locks and safes
- Install Vingcard related product
- Training all hotel front line staff members on our software
- Training maintenance on maintaining door locks and safes
- Using routers and similar equipment to install locks when needed
- Installation and setup of our energy management system ENKOA
- Assist Level 1 and level 2 technicians when required
- Actively manage all relevant callouts logged on the portal
- Work closely with sales team and manage repairs/ warranty returns
