Customization Programmer

     

 

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE 

 

The Customization Programmer is responsible for the accurate configuration, programming, testing, and preparation of products according to client specifications and internal standards. This role ensures high-quality output, correct system usage, and compliance with billing, safety, and operational procedures.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILTIES

 

Product Selection & Customization

  • Select the correct products based on picking slips and/or purchase orders.
  • Customize and program products according to specific product requirements and customer specifications.
  • Perform testing on all customized products in accordance with defined test instructions.

 

Billing & System Accuracy

  • Accurately process client billing using TechTool.
  • Ensure the correct billing profiles are consistently applied.
  • Identify the need for new billing items and initiate requests for new product codes.

 

System Configuration & Functionality

  • Link products to the correct client ID to ensure proper routing.
  • Apply the correct server address settings, particularly for African clients.
  • Perform daily checks to confirm full functionality of TechTool and UDL systems.
  • Ensure all required software systems are fully operational and meet performance expectations.

 

Product Quality Control

  • Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in line with IPC standards.
  • Maintain high manufacturing quality standards.
  • Identify and report non-conforming products.
  • Conduct thorough and satisfactory product testing.

 

Stock & Inventory Handling

  • Ensure all stock received for customization is accurately accounted for.
  • Allocate stock to the correct storage locations.

 

Packaging & Dispatch Preparation

  • Package completed orders appropriately.
  • Ensure all goods are correctly labelled and addressed for dispatch.

 

Health & Safety Compliance

  • Act as a Health and Safety ambassador within the department.
  • Adhere to all company Health and Safety policies and procedures.

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS 

§  Matric (Grade 12)

§  Computer Literacy (essential)

Experience working with:

  • TechTool Program
  • Amecor Portal
  • UDL Programming
  •   Strong product knowledge
  • 2–3 years’ experience in a similar role
