R&D Engineer - Mechanics

What you would do as our R&D Engineer – Mechanics

You would work as a mechanical designer in the product development team of the electronic cylinder products unit, either in innovation and development tasks for new products or in maintenance tasks developing new features for existing products.

 

You would also:

• Mechanical design for new or existing products and product structures using SolidWorks 3D software.

• Tolerance design and analysis, including statistical tolerance analysis with CETOL software and FEM calculations for parts and assemblies.

• Develop cost‑effective solutions utilizing strong expertise in mass and small‑batch manufacturing methods as well as material technologies.

• Assemble and fabrication of prototypes using 3D printing, along with planning and execution of practical product development tests.

• Collaborate and documentation, including close communication with various stakeholders (project management, product management, production, quality, procurement, testing) as well as managing product structures in the PLM system and producing high‑quality documentation.

 

The skills and experience you need
We are looking for someone who:

• Relevant technical education, such as an M.Sc. or B.Eng. in Mechanical Engineering, with advantage given to experience in mechanical design involving small components.

• Has strong problemsolving, analytical, and collaboration skills, with the ability to participate in decisionmaking, take ownership of tasks, and work in a selfdriven, openminded, and growthoriented way.

• Has proficiency in essential engineering tools and software, including SolidWorks, CETOL, Simsolid, MS Office, Jira, and Microsoft AX.

• Has technical expertise in manufacturing and product development, including CNC technologies, injectionmolding processes (including MIM), basic cost calculation for industrial products, and the ability to analyze patents.

• Has fluent language skills in English and the local language, both written and spoken.
