What you would do as our Project Manager
As a Project Manager in the Electro-Mechanical (ELMECH) Product Unit within our Digital and Access Solutions (DAS) business segment, you would be responsible for coordinating development projects that integrate mechanics, electronics, and firmware in digital locking solutions. This role reports directly to the Director & Head of Product Line Management for the ELMECH Product Unit. Willingness to travel within the EMEIA region is required.
You would also: 

  • Manage development projects to scope and budget, ensuring that each team member clearly understands what is expected, why it matters, and when their input is required.
  • Contribute to project planning by defining scope, objectives, costs, and staffing needs, while ensuring technical feasibility and high-quality outcomes.
  • Facilitate effective communication and engaging relevant stakeholders to ensure all parties have the information necessary for success.
  • Maintain close oversight of project status and ensuring all project documentation is accurate and up to date.
  • Coordinate and collaborate actively with other project managers, program managers, and stakeholders across the ASSA ABLOY group.

 

The skills and experience you need
We are looking for someone who has:

  • A degree in Electronics, Mechanics, Engineering, or a related discipline, with experience working on projects involving mechanics, electronics, and firmware.
  • Fluency in spoken and written English (our common business language) and excellent Finnish language skills; additional languages are highly desirable.
  • Excellent interaction, communication, and negotiation skills, with the ability to inspire others and a strong customer-centric mindset.
  • A courageous, development-oriented attitude with a systematic approach, strong project management skills, and relevant experience in project management roles.
  • A self-driven, responsible individual with strong problem-solving abilities, comfortable in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, eager to meet deadlines, and open-minded toward continuous development and improvement.

Ideally, you have experience working in multicultural teams and international environments. Scrum Master certification or knowledge of other Agile methodologies is preferred.
