What you would do as our BI Developer
You would be responsible for the development, implementation, and delivery of high-quality BI services aligned with business needs. You will ensure a stable and flexible BI environment for agreed services, while minimizing complexity and optimizing resources and costs.
You would also:
- Support and develop BI environments with a strong focus on Microsoft technologies. Collaborate with end users, business analysts, and stakeholders to identify data opportunities, define business requirements, and translate them into technical specifications. Design and implement dashboards and reports based on business needs, while staying informed about business operations and evolving BI processes.
- Participate in IT service processes as a BI Developer, ensuring uninterrupted production, handling support tasks, and maintaining connectivity for agreed BI services. Keep documentation for your area of responsibility up to date and actively contribute as part of the BI service support team.
- Provide expert customer service as a member of the IT team in regards of BI, building strong relationships with internal customers. Communicate technical solutions clearly and confidently to non-technical audiences.
- Creating and maintaining good team spirit. Proactive in sharing knowledge and collaborating with the BI team.
The skills and experience you need
We are looking for someone who has:
- A degree or near completion of studies in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and fluency in English and Finnish.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, including interpreting metrics, analyzing measurement results, and understanding complex concepts
- Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT processes, dimensional data modeling, and relational databases (e.g., SQL Server).
- Proficiency in BI dataset design and report development, with experience in tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or QlikView.
Ideally, you have experience working in cloud environments (such as Azure or AWS), along with hands-on expertise in BI solutions, including Microsoft Fabric and machine learning development using languages like Python or R. Familiarity with the Power Platform—such as Power Apps and Power Automate—is also highly desirable.
