Position Summary:

 

The incumbent will be strategic and tactical responsible for implementing Quality strategy and strategic operational goals to meet customer expectations for product quality, cost and delivery by optimising production quality levels and supporting operational excellence.  The person will also closely work with internal and external key stakeholders, manufacturing and customers regarding technical support of their activities. Responsible for all areas of the Quality function and provide support within Operations. Lead and develop the Quality Management system, striving for best-in-class products and business practices to deliver to the customer’s expectations, managing teams and projects across the business.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Implement the Quality assurance processes involves inhouse process, Supplier. process and Customer interface (complaint handling)
  • Prepare Quality Manual, Procedure, Control Plan, SOP/WI, Formats as per standard requirement
  • Monitor and improve COPQ, initiate improvement projects for improving Outgoing Quality and differentiated customer experience
  • To promote & deploy TQM concepts like 5S, QC Circles, Systematic problem-solving techniques, SPC etc.
  • Up gradation and process improvements by implementing process enhancement techniques such as POKA -YOKE, KAIZEN, TPM, KANBAN
  • Initiate & monitor Internal Audit Program and Supervise periodic Internal Audits to ensure effective deployment of Quality Systems & EMS
  • Responsible to handle the customer complaints, investigating root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions, Periodic monitoring and horizontal deployment of action
  • Annual Quality Improvement Plan preparation and implementation to achieve Quality Targets
  • Monitoring rejection analysis and taken corrective action against major contribute rejection
  • Responsible to reduce Internal defect and Scrap with proper tracking of Zero-defect projects which will ensure usage of Six sigma methodology
  • Actively participated in new product developments & achieved ZERO DEFECT during product launch
  • Communicate and coordinate with SAARC region and Global team for product concerns
  • Direct, lead & motivate team and impart continuous on job training for accomplishing greater operational effectiveness
  • Taking stringent quality measures including preparation / maintenance of necessary documents to ensure compliance with standards & customer requirements; reviewing quality of the product and ensuring proper support to resolve quality issues
  • Responsible for inprocess  inspection of setup component of every process

 

Skills Required:

  • Good knowledge of various manufacturing process-Sheet Metal, Press shop, Machine shop, Forging, Paint shop, Stamping component, Press Die Casting
  • Problem Solving Tools, 7QC – Tools,SPC,MSA, 5S, Kaizen,Quality Circle etc
  • Should possess the good English Communication skills
  • Well versed with the Multinational Corporation’s way of working, Matrix Organization across continents
  • Leadership & Team Building
  • Good Planning and Analytical skill

 

Educational Qualification and Experience:

  • B.E/B.Tech/M.Tech/with 10-15 years of experience
  • Preferred experience of working in an Automotive/Architectural hardware industries
