Position Summary:
This position will be responsible to ensure overall Production & Quality of casting parts made by pressure die casting, Responsible for planning, executing & improving production, OEE, reducing rejections in the die-casting plant & handling related documentation.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Reduction in COPQ by continuous monitoring and interacting with concerned departments, initiate and monitor improvement projects for improving overall casting quality and differentiated customer experience
- Responsible for improving production and controlling rejections.
- Responsible for daily, weekly and monthly production planning.
- Maintaining production-related documentation as per IATF & ISO.
- Responsible for quick and timely resolution of quality assurance-related issues due to die casting.
- Responsible for maintaining production SOP, process parameters and master data.
- Responsible for overseeing maintenance activity through the maintenance team.
- Responsible for maintaining inventory & create monthly base report of Inward, Outward activity.
- Responsible for the maintaining Consumable and spare parts consumption, inventory & ordering flow.
- Ensure in-process production quality with respect to defined specifications like Quality plan, Control Plan, SOP’s. Also conduct visual and measurement tests and communicate the appropriate action.
- Preparation of Monthly, Annual Production & Quality Improvement Plan and implement it to achieve set Its Targets.
- Prompt resolution of various issues by interacting with concerned departments In charge /heads.
- To extend his Support and guidance to in-process operators/ Technicians to achieve defect free products in next stage.
- Accurate & timely reporting to the management.
- Maintain safe work environment by following standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations.
Skills & Abilities Required:
- Experience handling Zinc automotive and non-automotive die-casting components production, die tools, and problem-solving.
- In-depth knowledge about various casting defects and its resolutions.
- Working Knowledge and Hand on Exp. on Core Tool, 5S, Kaizen etc.
- Experience with die tool maintenance for tooling ranging from 130 to 650 tons.
- Independently carry out entire production activities.
- Resolving ongoing issues related to Production & Quality.
- Extensive experience in die tool maintenance.
- Extensive experience with HPDC machines for tonnage ranging from 130 to 650.
- Extensive experience with maintaining Burning loss and slag
- Knowledge of SAP PP Module, (T-code of Production orders, Stock, purchase requestion, etc. T-codes)
- Good drawing reading and GD & T skill.
- Quick decision maker & Good analytical skill

Education Qualification & Experience required:
- B.E. Mechanical Engineer with a minimum of 7 years of experience in Die Casting Production (PDC).
- Preferred experience of working in an Automotive/Architectural hardware industries
