Summary

HID Global is seeking a Senior Solutions Sales and Support Engineer who will play a pivotal role in understanding customer challenges and deriving requirements to identify opportunities for our existing hardware and software offerings, along with providing professional services and software customization engagements. This role demands a highly motivated professional who is adept at driving sales by effectively matching customer business drivers with HID Global's technology. Your technical and business acumen will be vital in articulating and supporting complex solutions to both existing and prospective customers and ensuring the seamless execution of projects from inception to completion. This role serves as part of the Sales team, contributing to the technical aspects of the customer engagement.

 

As our Senior Solution Sales & Support Engineer, you’ll support HID’s success by: 

  • Serve as a technical expert within the Sales team, enhancing customer engagements with technical knowledge and project management skills.
  • Develop and deliver comprehensive technical solutions for customers, leveraging a deep understanding of HID Global's hardware, software, and services, while overseeing project lifecycles to ensure successful delivery.
  • Prepare detailed proposal documentation for large and complex projects, focusing on system integration, project management, and customer value maximization.
  • Interpret complex customer requirements in collaboration with regional sales, product managers, and systems teams to devise effective solutions, managing project timelines and deliverables.
  • Provide essential technical information for quotes, tenders, and information requests, facilitating the sales process.
  • Architect, validate, and document leading biometric solutions in partnership with Product Management, Services, and Engineering teams, managing projects to meet customer expectations.
  • Act as HID Global’s pre and post-sales technical liaison, offering consulting and support to HID Global Sales, Partners, and Customers, while managing project communications and milestones.
  • Engage in professional and technical development activities to stay at the forefront of technology trends and project management best practices.
  • Liaise with Product Management and Engineering teams to tailor solutions that meet specific customer requirements, ensuring effective project delivery.
  • Represent HID Global’s technical capabilities at trade shows and internal meetings, responsible for project presentations and demonstrations.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role with a focus on Requirements Analysis and Software Requirements gathering.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to creatively engineer solutions to solve customer problems, with a strong problem-solving aptitude focused on selling to customer needs.
  • Deep product knowledge and understanding of the Product Development lifecycle.
  • Excellent presentation skills and understanding of enterprise computer networking standards.
  • Basic technical knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Windows Server platforms as well as Linux, including practical understanding of Networking architectures and protocols (TCP/IP, FTP, NFS, SMTP).
  • Knowledge of Active Directory, mobile technologies, application life cycles, and cloud computing services (SaaS, PaaS, IaaS).
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously, working independently and capable of learning new concepts on one's own.
  • Preferred experience with Biometrics.

 

Your Experience and Education include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related fields of computer information system is required.
  • Master’s degree desirable, not required, and Technical Certifications are a plus.
  • Candidates with equivalent education plus relevant job experience may also be considered.
  • Minimum 5-years of technical experience with technical sales delivering solution requirements definition, design and problem resolution.
  • Experience with statements of work and technical proposals.
  • Experience and understanding of software solutions and professional services offerings.
  • Experience with working as a liaison between Sales and an Engineering team.
  • Experience with fingerprint or other biometric solutions is desired.
  • Able to manage technical solutions by performing basic project management functions including but not limited to scope, tracking deliverables, providing meeting minutes and tracking action items.
  • Experience in Enterprise level solutions from the design, engineering and understanding of complex deployments across distributed systems.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.

 

Language Skills                  

  • Ability to effectively communicate in the English and Bahasa Indonesia languages, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical journals, specifications, international technical standards, etc.

              Work Requirements

  • Compliance to all relevant HID Global policies and procedures related to Quality, Security, Safety, Business Continuity, and Environmental systems.
  • Up to 50% travel and fieldwork, including international travel required. Therefore, employee must possess, or be able to acquire a valid passport.
  • Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which you are hired.
