What you would do as our Compliance and Contract Manager

The role holder shall manage commercial contracts, compliance and data privacy across Türkiye, Caucasus and Central Asia region  (“TR and CCA”).  The role is newly created and the location will be Selimpaşa, Istanbul, Turkey.  The Compliance & Contract Manager will provide support to various functional areas and product teams and be involved in leading and driving the compliance across TR and CCA Region. You will advise executives, senior management and peers on a broad range of compliance matters, ranging from Anti-Trust, Anti-Corruption, Trade Compliance and Data Privacy matters to advising on corporate governance, company secretarial, commercial contracts, property leases etc.

 

You would also:

  • Be expected to take a proactive and hands-on approach to all legal, compliance and data privacy tasks that may be assigned to them and to develop an expertise across a broad range of subject areas.
  • Provide accurate, timely and pragmatic advice to senior managers and other members of the team on a variety of compliance and data privacy topics that relate to the legal entities, business sector and their products or services, providing confidence in subject matters and commercial risks.
  • Research and evaluate different risk factors regarding business decisions and operations and deal with complex matters with multiple stakeholders and develop best practices for reducing the Region’s contractual risks.
  • Apply effective risk management techniques and offer proactive advice on possible compliance and data privacy issues.

 

The skills and experience you need

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is fluent in Turkish and English.
  • Has previous experience managing legal and compliance in a business environment/in-house in a multinational company is desirable.
  • Has experience of negotiating and drafting commercial, supplier and customer agreements and previous experience in working within a technology/manufacturing business with digital content/web environments.
  • Has compliance experience in anti-corruption, anti-trust and trade compliance.
  • Has ability to conduct legal research, interpret legislation and summarise the key points of relevant legislation and case law.
