Operations Specialist

General Summary:

As an Operations Specialist in Critical Infrastructure business unit, you have the exciting opportunity to work together with large organizations spanning from Energy, Water to Telecommunications and Oil customers to help them creating the workspace for the future through value-add access and safety, data intelligence, and generating a prosperous environment for both, their employees and their customers and suppliers.

 

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supply chain management & reporting
  • Act as the business unit representative when ordering and/or negotiating costs and expectations from suppliers
  • Take steps to ensure inventory is accurately and correctly stocked to successfully meet customer needs and maximize the business strategy
  • Analyze data in an effort to anticipate future needs
  • Help ensure materials and products received are on time and at the correct quality and cost that was agreed upon
  • Full organization and handling of international and domestic shipments
  • Management of problems arising during deliveries
  • Communication with carriers, customs brokers, and other departments
  • Preparation of documents required for delivery, participation in their preparation, provision of data
  • Collection and handling of documents required for import customs clearance
  • Recording and maintenance of master data in the ERP system
  • Performance of other administrative duties related to the job
  • Case-by-case reporting of job-related data, preparation of reports as required
  • Production planning to ensure on-time deliveries

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

  • Has at least 3 years of work experience and an academic background in Supply Chain or Logistics
  • Is structured and confident when dealing with suppliers and stakeholders
  • Is goal oriented and capable of prioritizing
  • Is a team player as well as self-propelled
  • Proficient in MS Office packages
  • The ability to solve complex tasks independently
  • The ability to perform several tasks in parallel
  • Familiarity wiith Inventory Management
  • Experience in working with SAP S/4HANA is seen as an advantage.

 

Education:

  • Minimum high school education - business or technical focus an advantage
