Inside Sales Representative
Job Summary
The Inside Sales Representative will support the National Hardware brand and is responsible for generating new business opportunities, building and maintaining customer relationships, and achieving sales targets through outbound and inbound communication. This role focuses on identifying customer needs, presenting products or services, qualifying leads, and supporting the sales process from initial contact through closing. The successful candidate is a proactive, customer-focused professional with strong communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Lead Generation & Opportunity Development (60%)
- Prospect and identify potential customers through outbound calls, emails, social media, and other lead-generation activities.
- Respond to inbound inquiries and qualify leads to determine sales opportunities.
- Selling core categories and identifying opportunities within ancillary categories for growth.
- Follow up with prospective customers to advance sales opportunities and close business.
- Conduct sales presentations and product demonstrations via phone, video conference, or other virtual platforms.
Customer Relationship Management (20%)
- Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers.
- Understand customer needs and recommend appropriate products, services, or solutions.
- Serve as a trusted resource to customers throughout the sales process.
Sales Operations & Administration (10%)
- Prepare quotations, proposals, and sales documentation as required.
- Manage and maintain an accurate pipeline of opportunities using CRM software.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, sales activities, and account information.
Business Performance & Team Collaboration (10%)
- Collaborate with marketing, customer service, and field sales teams to support business objectives.
- Stay informed about product offerings, industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities.
- Meet or exceed individual and team sales goals, key performance indicators (KPIs), and revenue targets.
- Coordinating reset merchandising aids and missing Merch aids with the Sales Ops team.
Education and Experience Profile
- Postsecondary education in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field preferred.
- 2-3 years of inside sales or customer service experience required.

Work Environment
- Current job description scope is remote (work from home) but is subject to change.
