What you would do as our Head of Technical

Door System develops, manufactures and services high-performance door solutions for some of the world’s most demanding industries, including pharmaceuticals, healthcare, food and advanced manufacturing. As part of ASSA ABLOY, the global leader in access solutions, we combine entrepreneurial agility with international reach and resources. To support our ambitious growth journey, we are looking for a Head of Technical who can strengthen our technical organization and drive innovation, compliance and operational excellence. 

As Head of Technical, you will lead our Technical Excellence organization and become a key member of the Leadership Team. You will be responsible for ensuring that our products continue to set the benchmark for quality, safety and compliance while supporting business growth through innovation, efficient product development and close collaboration across Sales, Operations and Production. This is a highly visible leadership role with significant influence on the future technical direction of the company.

You would also:

• Lead and develop the Technical Excellence organization and drive product development and technical innovation.
• Manage testing, certification and regulatory compliance and ensuring high product quality and continuous improvement.
• Own the company’s technical documentation and product compliance, providing technical leadership and support across the organization.
• Build strong relationships with customers, certification bodies and external stakeholders.
• Contribute actively to the company’s strategic development as part of the Leadership Team.

The skills and experience you need

We are looking for someone who:

• Has a degree in Engineering, Architectural Technologist, Construction Manager or another relevant technical discipline and has experience from manufacturing of technically advanced products.
• Has experience from construction, building products, fire protection, and/or industrial equipment and has several years of leadership experience within engineering, product development or technical management.
• Has solid knowledge of testing, fire, hygiene and/or safety certification and regulatory compliance.
• Has a structured and pragmatic approach with a passion for continuous improvement.
• Has strong communication skills in Danish and English.
