About the role

We are looking for a Draftsperson to join our Lietzke team based in Hendon SA. Reporting to the Design Engineer, in this role you will model and create detailed factory drawings for manufacturing, including CAD drawings as required based on customer requirements in SolidWorks or DriveWorks.

 

Key Accountabilities / Primary Responsibilities

  • Detail (Create factory drawings) for all allocated work
  • Detail complex jobs using Solidworks software and complete as required to a quality standard.
  • Programming of CNC/ Press Brake machinery, and complete as required
  • Work through any mistakes and issues identified by the Factories and/or QA Leader with the wider Detailing Team to ensure we understand and minimize repeat errors.
  • Raise all queries identified with the project Coordinator of the job, hold the job until the questions are answered.
  • Ensure the level of detail is complete and accurate for Manufacturing
  • Ensure all admin requirements are completed when required
  • Assist in preparing bill of materials (BOM) based on drawings
  • Comply with all processes, policies and procedures
  • Take care for own health and safety, along with the health and safety of their colleagues, within the workplace.
  • Abide by the standards and values set out by ASSA ABLOY’s Code of Conduct
  • Abide by ISO 9001 processes

Technical Skills

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Intermediate level of Solidworks or CAD software experience
  • Process driven and proactive
  • Able to address and problem solve as required
  • Able to rapidly build strong relationships, influence and mentor stakeholders
  • Able to be flexible and adapt to changing priorities
  • Excellent planning, time management and prioritisation skills
