What you would do as our Managing Director – Door System
We are seeking a dynamic and commercially driven Managing Director to lead our Danish operations. Based in Hørning and reporting directly to the SVP DBS, you will hold full responsibility for both the strategic development and the day-to-day execution of the business. Your mission: grow the Door Business in Denmark and strengthen our position as a leading provider of fire-rated and high-security, specialized doors. As Managing Director, you will drive value creation, revenue growth, and margin improvement across the Danish market. You will shape strategy, ensure operational excellence, and guide the organization toward continuous commercial and operational success. A key focus will be enhancing profitability through disciplined cost control, pricing strategy execution, and performance optimization across all functions.

 

You would also:
• Strengthen and expand the business in both domestic and international markets and develop and execute effective business strategies focused on sales, margin, order intake, market growth, product development, production efficiency, EBIT, and ROS.
• Lead the implementation of the company’s sales strategy, build, manage, and develop a high-performing team.
• Oversee budgeting, cost control, and optimization processes and improve Business Unit processes and ensure effective implementation of improvement initiatives and also oversee operational activities and drive KPI performance.
• Actively contribute to the overall organizational strategy, maintain close collaboration with other companies within the business segment and prepare management reporting as required.
• Perform additional tasks linked to manufacturing processes and cooperate closely and effectively with the broader Door Segment leadership team.

 

The skills and experience you need 
We are looking for someone who:
• Has Bachelor’s degree in business management; MBA or master’s degree considered an advantage and minimum 15 years of broad commercial experience, including at least 5 years in senior sales or business development leadership.
• Has demonstrated success in growing businesses within Denmark, ability to thrive in a fast-paced, unstructured environment and has strong leadership presence with the ability to inspire confidence.
• Has highest level of business ethics, excellent communication and presentation skills and ability to add value beyond functional areas and collaborate effectively across the organization.
• Is willing to travel extensively within the region and occasionally internationally.
• Is native Danish speaker with excellent English proficiency.
