What would you do as our Order & Logistics Manager

In short, as our Order & Logistics Manager you manage a broad variety of processes to support the production of overhead industrial sectional doors.

Your current organization contains a Planning & Order office, Warehouse, and Expedition; in total 3 direct reports and 20 indirect reports.

 

You keep challenging, not only yourself, but also the rest of the team, to improve the performance, processes, and control. Our upcoming transition to the corporate new ERP system ‚ AX Dynamics‘ and a Production shopfloor system, gives you an excellent opportunity to redesign and improve all the processes together with the other departments. This position of Order & Logistics Manager is a vital, demanding, independent, and interesting position in the Heerhugowaard Production Plant. You report directly to the Plant Manager. Next to that, you’re in close contact with the Logistics manager of Industrial Door Solutions and the ASSA ABLOY sales organizations.

 

You would also

  • You will schedule and forecast the right volumes of raw materials and inbound products
  • You will process the off-order bounded outsourced purchasing products
  • You will transfer sales orders into production orders, including lead time management and production planning
  • You manage special products including quotations and technical feasibility
  • You manage the process of outbound logistics until the external warehouses

 

The skills and experience you need 

We are looking for someone who

  • BSc. Degree in Logistics Management, Commercial Economy, International Business Management or equivalent.
  • Track record in a similar (Production) environment and familiar with working in an international matrix-driven organization.
  • Fluent in Dutch and English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Experience in different management tools like ISO and ERP systems (AX Dynamics).
  • Knowledge of LEAN and 5S.
