ASSA ABLOY Entrance Systems and its Business Segment Industrial (BSI) are looking for a BUM Netherlands to drive profitable growth in both equipment and service sales. The role is based in Heerhugowaard and leads a team of approx. 200 people and approx. EUR 50 million. The business model in the Netherlands covers sales, installation and service.

 

Business Segment Industrial (BSI), part of the Entrance System Division, delivers solutions in the following main product areas: Industrial Doors, Dock Levelers, High Performance Doors and Megadoors. In addition, BSI also delivers service and refurbishment and digital solutions relating to the previously mentioned products.

 

The Business Unit Manager (BUM) Netherlands will have full responsibility for the management and execution of the BSI strategy implementation for this market. In this role you will report to the Regional Director Benelux.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to and engage in building an organizational culture based on our vales Empowerment, Innovation and Integrity for the Netherlands.
  • Prepare and implement three-five-year business plans.
  • Deliver the financial budget (profit and working capital).
  • Continue to develop a strong and profitable service business in accordance with the ASSA ABLOY Group strategy and guidelines.
  • Develop the Industrial Door business within new focused market segments.
  • Develop long-term and trusting relationships with key customers, have personal and close customer contacts.
  • Lead, manage and motivate a large Dutch team of employees and subcontractors to achieve business objectives.
  • Secure development of key management and high potential employees to ensure continued success in talent management activities.
  • Implement optimum processes and controls throughout the company to maximize efficiency and productivity.
  • Ensure compliance with ASSA ABLOY Code of Conduct
  • Ensure compliance with ASSA ABLOY and country specific Health and Safety regulations.
  • Represent the company in legal, fiscal and structural matters.
  • Work in close cooperation with Regional Director Benelux, BSI VP Europe and the BSI management team.

 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a commercial management role in the industrial environment or construction related trades / technical building equipment with similar P&L responsibility.
  • Experience in project sales and service.
  • Experience with national business orientation and international reporting structures.
  • Proven experience in managing a large team of employees and achieving business objectives.
  • Experience in M&A is desirable.
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, management, or related field.
  • English language, proficient both written and spoken.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Proven ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Strong financial management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Knowledge of industry trends and best practices.
  • Demonstrated experience in driving ambitious growth targets and achieving business objectives.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
