Your Role in Keeping the Future in Safe Hands…

 

As a Sales Engineer for the Global solutions division of ASSA ABLOY, you will have the opportunity to become a valuable member of our highly technical Sales Engineering team, making a genuinely positive impact in the lives of our customers. You will get to work on a team that keeps growing, innovating, and giving you room to be proactive, creative and develop unique perspectives on how various products and services interact with one another.

Reporting to the VP of Sales & Marketing, you will architect and specify Key and Asset Management solutions for enterprise clients including hardware, software, and integrated applications and services. You will travel up to 50% within the United States, with occasional international travel required, for global projects or company educational seminars. This is a predominantly customer interfacing role and always requires the highest level of customer service.

  

What you will do…

 

  • Assist the regional sales teams with presales support to value-engineer technology-based solutions that solve real world problems, improve accountability, and drive process across a wide range of industries from automotive to residential and from small business to global enterprise.
  • Conduct detailed technical requirements analysis and specification of IP based key & equipment management solutions.
  • Manage complex RFP’s and compile detailed technical responses that demonstrate why Assa Abloy is the global leader in key & equipment management.
  • Deliver webinar and in-person technical presentations and demonstrations to prospects and customers (including all HW/SW).
  • Execute Deployment Planning & Design sessions for enterprise end users and create technical plans and documentation of the Project Delivery for System Technicians to execute against.
  • Conduct Technical Certification Training and Support to value-added-resellers.
  • Provide technical leadership and technical knowledge at major trade shows including NADA, Automechanika, NAA, ISC West/East, GSX, etc.
  • Collaborate with marketing on producing sales support video’s, media, and documentation.
  • Calculate pricing for custom solutions including hardware, software, and professional services components.
  • Maintain accurate account, opportunity, asset, and project data using Salesforce CRM.

 

What we expect of you…

 

  • 3+ years of experience in technical sales and solution engineering within the automotive industry or similar

 

  • College degree or equivalent technical certifications in IT/Networking or Engineering fields

 

  • Demonstratable advanced technician level knowledge of hardware electronics and embedded systems

 

  • Demonstratable advanced technician level knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server databases and mobile/web (browser) based software applications including installation and maintenance

 

  • Demonstratable advanced technician level knowledge of TCP/IP networking

 

  • Highly detail oriented, analytical, and a data driven approach to solving problems through technology

 

  • Experience with issue management systems (e.g., Jira), team workspace systems (e.g., Confluence), and remote collaboration tools (e.g., Miro)
