National Account Manager

Amarr, a part of ASSA ABLOY – the global leader in opening solutions - is hiring seeking a highly motivated National Accounts Manager (NAM) to develop, manage, and expand key customer relationships across our national account portfolio. This strategic sales leadership role is responsible for driving profitable revenue growth, strengthening customer partnerships, negotiating contracts, and collaborating across multiple business functions to deliver exceptional customer experiences.

 

What You'll Do

 

As a National Accounts Manager, you will:

  • Manage and grow assigned national accounts while achieving sales and profitability objectives.
  • Develop and execute strategic account plans aligned with company goals.
  • Negotiate pricing, contracts, and commercial agreements.
  • Maintain pricing, gross margin, and tier management processes.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to customers, providing product expertise and business solutions.
  • Lead customer training on products, systems, and digital tools.
  • Conduct job site visits, audits, and customer support activities.
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, engineering, manufacturing, logistics, operations, and IT teams to support customer success.
  • Assist customers with product specifications, blueprint reviews, take-offs, and product substitution processes.
  • Manage warranty requests and provide root-cause analysis related to product installation and performance.
  • Maintain knowledge of industry trends, competitor offerings, and applicable building codes and standards.

 

What We're Looking For

 

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of commercial sectional or rolling door sales experience, or experience managing large national accounts within the door industry.  
  • College degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Proven success in account management, business development, and strategic sales growth.
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Experience managing pricing strategies and customer contracts.  
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to build trusted relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Valid driver's license and the ability to travel extensively.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Expertise in commercial and residential overhead door products.
  • Experience working with architects, contractors, distributors, dealers, and end users.
  • Knowledge of industry standards including wind-load requirements, International Building Code (IBC), and ASHRAE requirements related to sectional overhead doors.

 

Travel Requirements

This position requires overnight travel throughout the United States and Canada, averaging approximately 9-11 nights per month.
