We are seeking an experienced and strategic General Manager to lead the Normstahl Crawford Business Unit across the DACH region and the Nordics. This is a pivotal leadership role within the Sectional Doors and Components (SDC) Business Area, driving profitable growth and market leadership.
Role Overview
As General Manager, you will:
- Lead and manage the BU and its sales entities, ensuring operational excellence and strategic alignment.
- Define and execute the BU strategy in line with ASSA ABLOY guidelines, collaborating closely with the Entrance Systems Division.
- Own the P&L and drive financial performance, including budgeting, mergers & acquisitions, and integration activities.
- Develop long-term plans (3–5 years) for organizational optimization and talent development.
- Ensure compliance with environmental, health & safety standards and foster employee engagement.
- Monitor performance against KPIs in sales, cost control, legal compliance, and HR management.
- Lead monthly business reviews, analyze results, and present improvement plans to senior leadership.
- Build strong customer relationships and oversee international sales activities to achieve growth targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Daily management and coordination of the BU and its sales entities.
- Strategic planning and execution to achieve business objectives and market share growth.
- Oversight of marketing, product development, and pricing strategies.
- Monitoring market trends, customer behaviour, and competitor activity to identify opportunities.
- Leading and motivating a team of executives and managers, ensuring talent development and succession planning.
